Streaming giant Netflix has just announced an Assassin’s Creed series is coming to the platform.
Sharing the news across social media with a short teaser, Netflix merely said: “Netflix + Assassin’s Creed.”
The tweet was then followed up with some more details on the upcoming project, including to what extend Ubisoft will be on board.
Netflix explains: “Netflix will be developing an Assassin’s Creed live-action series. @Ubisofts‘s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as Executive Producers.”
There’s no word yet on a potential release date, but it seems Netflix is definitely throwing some serious cash at video game adaptations! The company already has both a CGI-animated and a live-action Resident Evil series. Though it’s technically based on the books, Netflix’s The Witcher series is still thriving, with an anime movie and a spin-off prequel confirmed for the future.

Speaking of Assassin’s Creed, we’re now right around the corner from the launch of the series’ next game, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be a cross-gen title, launching across PS4, Xbox One and PC, along with Xbox Series X and PS5. The game’s official description reads as follows: “Blaze your own path across England with advanced RPG mechanics. Fight brutal battles, lead fiery raids or use strategy and alliances with other leaders to bring victory. Every choice you make in combat and conversation is another step on the path to greatness.”
