Intel announces CES 2021 “Do More with the Power of Computing” news conference –

At CES 2021 next year Intel will host two news conferences.

Intel to talk about the power of computing at CES 2021

Intel announced it will host two virtual news conferences at CES 2021. The next-year consumer electronics expo will be all-digital meaning that no audience will be present at any of the keynotes. Last week AMD confirmed that its CES Dr. Lisa Su will host her own conference where further details on the Ryzen 5000 mobile series and AMD Radeon RX 6700 graphics might be unveiled.

Intel has been quiet in regard to its upcoming launches, although the company confirmed that it is planning to introduce its 11th Gen Core Rocket Lake-S somewhere in the first quarter. We also expect teasers on Tiger Lake-H high-performance mobile processors.

CES has always been about consumer electronics, hence it is unclear what Intel might be revealing at the virtual news conference. The snippet from the Intel announcement mentions that Gregory Bryant (Intel VP and GM of Client Computing Group) will talk about innovations in process technology, packaging, and architecture. More importantly, we should learn how this affects consumer and business markets that Intel is currently focusing on.

Intel News Conference – Gregory Bryant: Do More with the Power of Computing
Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, 1-1:30 p.m. PST

The transformative power of computing to help people do more is clear. Join Gregory Bryant, executive vice president and general manager of Intel’s Client Computing Group, and other Intel executives, as they outline how Intel is executing and driving innovation in process technology, packaging and architecture to deliver that transformative computing experience for consumers and businesses alike. As we enter the era of distributed intelligence, computing is pervasive, and intelligence is distributed. Put simply: Everything looks like a computer and everything is in the cloud. During this conference, Bryant and team will expand on how Intel is delivering for its customers as the company embraces the incredible growth opportunity this data revolution has created.

Intel is also planning a news conference focusing on autonomous driving which will be hosted by Amnon Shahua (Intel Senior VP and CEO of Mobileye).

Intel CES News Conference – Amnon Shashua:  It’s Time to Go
Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, 10-10:20 a.m. PST

When it comes to autonomous driving, the time to “go” is now – and Mobileye is going broad and fast. Join Prof. Amnon Shashua, senior vice president of Intel and chief executive officer of Mobileye, as he takes attendees on an intimate tour of his garage lab and connects today’s progress and technology with tomorrow’s vision. He will discuss the unique interplay between advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and the company’s autonomous vehicle technology, and how this connection has shaped Mobileye’s strategy.

Both events will take place on January 11th. The event about computing will start at 1:00 PM PST and will last half an hour.
