The world has finally gotten to see Far Cry 6 in action, and while it’s previously been teased that the game will be the biggest in the series to date, we might finally have proof thanks to images of the map.
Before we go any further, if you don’t want to see just how big the map of Far Cry 6 really is, look away now. Consider yourself warned.
As spotted by Redditor PaulMorrison90 [via Screen Rant], a glimpse of the map of Far Cry 6 was spotted in the title’s recent gameplay reveal. As you can see in the post below, our hero Dani Rojas is seen poring over the map, giving us our first look at the size of the darn thing.
Sadly, the map reveal doesn’t really give us too much of an indication of the size of the map in terms of gameplay, and we don’t yet know how its size stacks up to Ubisoft’s other open-world titles, like Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
However, we’ve previous been told the game will in fact be the largest we’ve seen in the Far Cry series so far.
Back in July 2020, a Ubisoft representative told Official PlayStation Magazine (now PLAY magazine) that the game’s island “features the most varied sprawl of biomes, and is the largest location of any Far Cry game to date.”
It looks like we’re in for a treat with Far Cry 6. Check out our preview of the gameplay!
Far Cry 6 will release on 7th October worldwide on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Amazon Luna and for Windows PC (exclusively on both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store).
