CPU-Z with preliminary Intel 12th Gen Core support

Intel Core series with Hybrid Technology is now supported by CPU-Z.

The developers of CPU-Z have updated their monitoring utility for processors and motherboards with preliminary support for Intel Alder Lake and the Z6XX platform. The 12th Gen Core series codenamed Alder Lake will feature big and small core x86 architecture which could pose a problem for tools such as CPU-Z. The high-efficiency (small) cores unlike high-performance (big) cores will not support hyper-threading.

With that in mind, it was important to modify the tool to correctly report how many threads will each Alder Lake SKU have. With the 1.96 update that should no longer be an issue. It does not seem, however, that the tool will read how many of each big and small cores will the processor have, which is unfortunate. Alongside Alder Lake support, CPU-Z 1.96 will also feature Z6xx support (such as Z690). This is the new chipset series for LGA1700 socket-based motherboards. CPU-Z will also now report on DDR5 memory configuration, which is expected to be from 4800 to 8400 MT/s.

From AMD, the CPU-Z 1.96 will support the Cezanne-G series known as Ryzen 5000G desktop APUs. Furthermore, the utility will now recognize Radeon RX 6000 graphics card series.
