The newly-appointed actors in question have previously been involved with projects such as The Hobbit, Outlander, Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, and more.

The Witcher series showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich also shared the news of the actors that will be joining the Netflix series.

So who are these new actors that will be gracing our screens with season two of the Netflix series The Witcher, I hear you ask? Let’s have a look!

Firstly we have Chris Fulton (Bridgerton, Outlaw Kings) who has been cast in the role of Rience, said to be a powerful mage that has been tasked with finding Ciri after she had disappeared during the battle of Cintra.

Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Silent Witness, Horizon Zero Dawn) is to play Nenneke, who is a priestess and the leader of the Temple of Melitele.

Graham McTavish (The Hobbit, Castlevania, Aquaman) and is to play the role of Dijkstra, a master spy and is also the leader of the special forces for the kingdom of Redania.

Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey, Silent Witness) has been cast in the role of Ba’lian. However, this is for a new character, we assume created exclusively for The Witcher series.

Liz Carr (Silent Witness, Les Misérables), is to play the role of Fenn, a partner in a law firm & detective agency located in Dorian.

Finally, we have Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Dr. Who) and he is to play Codringher, the partner of Fenn at the law firm & detective agency in Dorian.

Last week we also learned that Cassie Clare (Brave New World) had been cast in the role of powerful sorceress, Philippa Eilhart.

At this time we don’t have a release date for season two of The Witcher on Netflix.

However, despite the season suffering delays due to the COVID pandemic, hopefully, it will still launch later this year.
