Games such as Fortnite have previously held virtual concerts of their own, featuring the likes of Marshmello and Travis Scott. Now Pokemon is getting a slice of that juicy virtual party pie.

Post Malone’s virtual concert will be held across the official Pokemon social media channels, including YouTube and Twitch, as well as via the 25th anniversary website. While I’m not sure what to expect, it definitely sounds interesting!

The concert will take place on Pokemon Day, Saturday February 27th. The event will start at midnight UK time (4pm PST/7pm EST).

The news was announced across social media with a trailer. It shows the rapper walking around backstage at a concert, holding a Pokeball. Before the show starts, he turns into a virtual version of himself. Check it out in the video below!

I’ve been a Pokemon fan for a long time,” said Post Malone on the event. “So the opportunity to headline the Pokemon Day concert celebrating 25 years is awesome.

With Katy Perry and Post Malone already revealed as part of the “P25” star-studded Pokemon 25th anniversary celebrations, what other pop stars do you think might be announced?

I don’t suppose there’s any chance of Liam or Noel Gallagher being announced is there..?

While it’s not a collab I expected, I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun! Will you be tuning into the Pokemon x Post Malone event?
